Hiyee everyone!!

In case you're wondering, i'm still around! in fact, i'm here everyday. hehe

How has everyone been? those in sch, its the hols! time to take that much needed break...like wat i'm going to do soon. hehe ..i'll be out of town tmr.

Finally, the time has come, i'm graduating!! i've been in school for waaayyy too long...and yups, i'll be out of the education system. hehe.

Come 1st june, i'll be putting on my green slacks and heading back to camp, resuming my remaining NS liability of 5 months and 7 days. quite a long period i know.

Last nite was the last episode of dreamchasers, those who've been religiously watching the drama, thank u. it was the first superstar drama and especially to me, my first maiden acting experience.

I dunno wat's going to happen after my NS, perhaps Mediacorp might renew my contract, perhaps on different terms, perhaps not. watever it is, I've enjoyed myself thoroughly throughout this journey.

So yups, thank u for watching dreamchasers and those with kids or younger siblings, thank u for watching aha kids too! .

Hi everyone!

Finally I'm back, with this message; been busy filming for the drama, so if you're wondering what happened, don't worry, I'm still around!

I'm sure most of you would have watched the first episode of the drama, so...how was it? All of us did our best cause for you and we hope you'd enjoy watching it as much as we've enjoyed filming it.

Suddenly, life feels different from me, everything seems quieter now. Gone are the days where I've to wake up super early and travel to DreamForest for make up...gone are the days where I'll be busily doing my homework, reading scripts and memorizing lines. Carebear JaS misses those times!

Anyways, remember hor, there're two days where you can watch me; Sunday mornings and Thursday nights for the next few months.

Thank you to everyone who have sent me smses, left little notes here; commenting on my acting. I'll do my best (if there're other opportunities).

Happy New Year to all my 3 F's!

2005 has been the most special, most memorable....simple just a spectacular year for me and for all of you I'm sure!

Its a year that somewhat changed my life and yours as well.

As always, a quick update of what's happening to me: the filming of the kids show is still ongoing, if you're watching and wondered why I'm appearing so little in the programme, don't worry. There're reasons behind which I can't disclose. hehe.

Then then then...yup, coming up; the Renci Show...its an extremely challenging stunt..on tv, viewers might think its easy, honestly, its not. A lot of effort and tremendous teamwork needed to make it work. I stress the word 'effort'...and perhaps include the word 'strength'. You'd be promise of a good show.

Recently just went for the imaging session for the Superstar drama, tentatively titled 'Dreamchasers' or 'Zhui Meng Zhe'. I'm one of the 5 main leads. Totally happy yet humbled to be given this opportunity cause I come June this year, I'd be resuming my NS liabilities and I see this drama as my last major opportunity, whatever happens to me in this industry after my NS, I don't know but remember wat I've said before; I'm contented and happy.

I'd do my best in my first-ever maiden acting experience; my character's name in the show is 'Steven' and there'll be a vague love triangle between myself, Junyang and Kelly. Its a very heart-warming drama.

Filming will commence soon, must memorise lines liao. Hee!

Hi everyone!

Hugs to all! thank you so much for coming down to the last 2 recordings of SuperFunkies last Wednesday. I apologised for the stupid NGs again and again. During the recordings for SuperFunkies, whenever its opened to the audience, you've never failed to attend each recording and keep me company, cheering me on.

Its a pity that I can't sing solo again, especially the song 'Shou Fang Kai', which I really want to do so much. Hopefully, there'll be an opportunity to perform this song.

Well...moving on...yups, I won't be totally gone from the tv screens for awhile. As some of you might have known, I'm doing a Channel 8 kids show, also known as...'A-Ha Kidz'...yups..will be shown on every Sundays...from Jan 06 I think.

Coming up too are the Heart Show and the Renci Show, both rehearsals are running concurrently. Quite a task managing both of them...I so have to get a PDA soon before I start losing track of my schedules. Heehee.

My management just told me that I'd be doing a photoshoot with Silver for I-weekly. Details unconfirmed, look out for it ya!

Hi everyone! 'HO Ho HO..everyone!' .. christmas msg .. blah blah blah .. ding dong bell ~ Hehe..x'mas round the corner you see...so...aren't we all in the x'mas mood yet?

Just to update...recently been busy with some ad-hoc errands here and there with the media-world. Finishing and wrapping up SuperFunkies soon. The last recording is slated to be on the 7 December. Its been a long while ya? Hehe.

What's coming up for me? Some of you have known already, I'll be hosting a kids show and regarding the drama, more details will be released.

Sorry for spoiling the joyful atmosphere here, but recently I have been greatly disturbed by a person who keeps impersonating me. Therefore through this site, I will like to bring your attention to this matter. Have to sound serious thou it shouldn't be in this cosy blog, so pardon me if the Carebear friendliness fades away for the time being. As mentioned, there's someone out there impersonating as me, Jas. Not only that, the impersonator has deceived a girl by the name of Carina. The damage has been done and not only this girl believes that impersonator, she strongly believes that I'm the impersonator instead and was very impolite in our conversation. After several tries to free her from this misconception, I have give up after many undeserving insults and misunderstanding.

I tried to helped u, Carina.. you choose to listen to a person who probably dont even dare to meet you in person. And I'm advising you NOT to meet anyone who claim to be me or anyone. Its not very wise to do so. To those who knows Carina, really need your help to stop her from been deceived again and again. Trying to be cool at the moment, but to the point of this msg. I have enough evidence and the impersonator email,msn and i/ p address. I have no idea what is your motive of doing such act to impersonate me and misleading others. What worries me is the victim or victims that you have deceived them .. again and again. I urge my fans especially female fans to beware of such impersonators which in my case his contact is gangforever_attitude@hotmail.com and using ---jas--- in msn. If you have this person under your list, please dont fall for his trick anymore. This blog msg is official and everything that I say here is from Jason Tan himself. I only have 2 friendster accounts which you can find under the links section.

Agitated but have to firmly say it here that I will not hesitate to make a police report and hand over the info on this impersonator. Well what I said may sound harsh .. but hope you can put yourself in my shoes..Meanwhile will like to share this info from NCPC for you guys. To protect yourself: Chatting with strangers online through Internet-Relay-Chat (IRCs) or ICQ? Anyone can mask his identity and impersonate another person. He/She might be a criminal in disguise. To be on the safe side: Avoid meeting your new online pals alone.

Meet the person in a public place, preferably with a trusted friend or family member. Never respond to message that makes you uncomfortable. Do not rely on strangers you meet in a chat-room for important advice. Avoid revealing personal information such as full names, telephone no, and home address to individuals over IRC. Avoid online exchange of personal photographs of your family and your home . In case you become a victim of cybercrime, take the following steps to: Preserve information stored in your computer as evidence: Keep a log of all online sessions or print them out. Save any annoying or threatening email; and Report the crime to the police immediately at the nearest NPC or NPP.

Hi everyone, my 3 'F's!

How are you all doing? I apologise for not being able to leave any messages before this; was busy with the rehearsals/trainings for the Grand Finals.

Grand finals....ahhh....those who came down to watch at the Indoor Stadium, were you as high and happy as me? The atmosphere was exhilarating!! Rehearsing to empty audience seats, we couldn't feel the energy level at all... just now was superb! Rest assured that I can see you all, waving at me.

I'd love to give those who have supported me, tickets to the live show but of course, its impossible. To those who couldn't secure a ticket, sorry but I hope you enjoyed the whole show from the comfort of your own home as well. My performance just now (my first and probably last) was dedicated to you all, live at the indoor stadium and those behind the gogglebox. The journey started lonely for me..very lonely…but slowly, you all came into my life and joined me. *bows*

I'm sure you all feel the same with me: My buddy Weilian won and I'm happy for him. I knew he can do it and he did. To those who supported him as well, thank you... thank you so much! Heard about the SuperStar Concert at the end of the month? Do hope to see you all there too.

This Project Superstar journey has officially ended; more roads will be opened for more journeys to take.

Good day everyone! How are all of you doing? Thank you for all the comments you've posted here. Trust me that I read every entry everyday. I'm fine and doing well, hope you all are too.

Just as I'm about to resume my final year project studies in NTU, it'll be another busy period again. All of us have gotten notice of our involvement in the Grand Finals on 1st September! I'm sure you're all as excited as I am. Issuance of tickets are extremely tight; Mediacorp and myself will try our best to admit all if possible.

Hi all! How is everyone? I hope those who are still schooling, understand your examinations are approaching soon, do well k. For those who are working, hope everything's going well at your workplace!

Got to know that some of you are still sad that I'm out of the competition. Don't be hor. All of us eliminated friend-contestants are very happy to be in this competition liao; to be eliminated, probably there'll be other better opportunities coming ya. So take heart, be happy for me, be happy for yourself, to share with me in this journey.

I've to issue a 'statement'...wah..like some press conference announcement. Hehe.

It came to my understanding that someone has been imposing as me elsewhere. Firmly speaking, I will n-e-v-e-r post any messages in the Project Superstar's website message boards. All messages that I have for my 3 F's will be conveyed through this site. I will pass my message to the webmaster, Darren, who will post my messages here. The journey has ended…but many new and good ones will commence soon…

I joined this competition with deep apprehension…It was after much encouragement from my friends that I registered for the competition, if not, I wouldn’t be here now, penning this message to all of you. We’d just be the same, watching Project SuperStar together and having lively discussions.

Hmm….I didn’t specially dress up for my first audition at Mediacorp, held on a weekend. I remembered telling my mum ‘I’m going for an audition, some singing competition by Ch U’. She said ‘Ok, good luck, coming back for lunch/dinner?’. I sang ‘Shou Fang Kai’ and within the next 3 lines, I moved on to the next round of Audition (at IMM).

During then, I thought the idea to have so many Auditions was really draining and it was during my school-term as well, however, the passion/zeal was slowly burning, not so much to win the competition, but to perform and give my best.

I progressed thru the Auditions, emerged as one of the Top 24. I faced immense pressures; each friend-contestant are vocally better, which I sorely lack. Then, I got a bit disheartened and suddenly felt the pressure of the competition. But again, the voice within me said ‘Do your best’. I thought I wouldn’t progress to the Semi-Finals. I eventually did.

All these wouldn’t have happened if not for the support I received from…YOU. My fans/friends/family. All of you have put in sooOooOOo much effort to assure my position in the progressive-rounds of this competition. Thank you! The competition brought my family closer, brought all my friends to rally behind me, gave me fans that I never thought I’d have. No words can express my gratitude to all of you.

Your continuous encouragement/support pushed me…motivated me to give my best. Vocally I am the weakest, but I know my performance entertains you all. It came naturally always…with the confidence that you’ve all bestowed on me. I treated every performances as my last ones so that I can give my best, never dropping the energy level.

With so much negative comments surrounding me, everyone thought I’d have given up after successfully progressing though to Semi-Finals 2. I didn’t; when I was singing ‘Re Qing De Sha Mo’, the energy level maintained throughout, even after forgetting a line of lyrics. It dropped after I stood on stage with Hosts Yifeng and Jeff were by my side. I was smiling but behind this smile, it was the ‘can’t-bear-to-go/I’d-miss-this-moment’ smile. Everything within me became quiet; I looked across the TV Theatre, left to right, right to left, bottom gallery to the top…top to the bottom. Thought: “This is it Jason, your last performance, you brought the house down, a good show as promised again…take a bow”. That was how I felt.

Upon reflection, to be in this competition is a blessing already. While you’re all proud of me, I’m happy for myself. With my current capabilities, to be able to perform for you all for the last time in Semi-Finals 2, I’m already contented.

It’s difficult to go but the time is looming.

I bowed and exited graciously, but with a heavy heart, not because I’ve left the competition, but that I’d miss performing for you all. My lack of vocal powess didn’t stop you all from supporting me. This competition allowed me to do something which I never thought I could in my entire life. Trust me I’ll improve and be back. Don’t forget me.

Do support the buddy whom I extended my hand for….the shoulders I lent to…

Semi-Finals

Thanx 4 supporting me @ Project SuperStar ever since the program made it's debut on air! After a series of ‘tough fight’, my frenz (Derrick, Weilian, Junyang, Weichong & Ruth, Silver, Kelly, Candyce, Xinhui) & I have made it thru' to the Semi.

Starting 27/07, our Semi competition will be as such:
SF1 - Pop & Ballad
SF2 - Oldies Remixed
SF3 - Local Works (Nat’l Day special)
SF4 - Live band - Chn, Foreign & Theme song

From Semi onwards, we’ll no longer be performing duets. It’s gonna be our individual performances.

Do look out 4 my performance every Wed/Thu on Ch U @ 8:30pm! Results out every Thu on Ch U @ 11:30pm!

Dear all,

Hello everyone? How's life?

The semi-finals are approaching!! Well...about 2 weeks later...heh.

Gosh, the backlash is still ongoing over at the other message boards. I take consolation to the fact that Derrick's supporters (and supporters of my other friends) are encouraging me as well and my supporters are keeping an open-minded attitude towards this furore. My family has been dragged into it and I'm somewhat affected (but ok now). We're just normal heartlanders living in your friendly HDB neighbourhood; nothing much they can do.

I was interviewed if anything has changed between me and Derrick. Answer:'NO lor!' Hehe. Amongst us contestants, we're just a bunch of friends in the competition, giving our best shot, getting our report cards stamped (the scores).

Competition aside, I always tell myself to deliver a good show to everyone;my family, friends and the supporters whom I dunno. So long as I don't dwell that it's mainly just a 'competition', I can focus better and deliver better, all these within my capabilities.

Dear all, How are you?

First of all, thank you for the huge support you've given me!! I really feel it. Thank you for believing in me. The low score that I received, was professional, just and fair; the score reflected my vocal skills, which I just started receiving training about a year ago. My other 3 friends have had prior vocal training since their younger days, so it was without doubt they'd have receive higher scores and they deserve it.

Upon self-reflection, the song chosen, Ai Qing Bu Neng Zhuo Bi Jiao, was an emotion-filled ballad. I love this song alot, that's why I chose it; in a way, it shows the sentimental side of me. Apparently, I sang it with too much feel, so much so that I neglected some singing/vocal techniques. Then again, while the beginning of the song was shaky, I hope you all felt the emotions of the song when I performed it.

With the low score that I got, I was mentally prepared for the worse. All of us were actually. Anything could have happen and shockingly, I got in, everyone's shocked, I'm shocked. I became the upset to Weijian's fans.

The first thought that went through my head was 'omg! (anyone would have seen the stunned look on my face), how is that possible? The only thing I could think of was to extend my gratitude to my family, friends and to the supporters. Similar to the other contestants, our families and friends can only do so much to support us, the rest of the support, comes from YOU. Thank you.

Now, I'm receiving brickbats from the other camps. Its expected and I'm taking it in my stride. Suddenly I'm in the 'limelight', although in a negative way. Sin Huey is experiencing such as well and we're both strong.

Receiving such immense support from all of you, I'd do my best. Whatever happens in the semi-finals, its been a great journey. To feel the support from all of you, I am deeply touched.

Remember, this site's not dedicated to me but to all of you as well, my cool and steady supporters. I joined this competition not for fame or the contract, that wasn't my initial intentions. I joined it for the experience; an experience to be cherished and treasured....

We live once and when doors of opportunities are there for you, you take risks and open them, do not leave the doors closed. Whether or not I'd be one of the last two standing (male and female) on the stage at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, I'd need to garner lotsa votes and support. No one knows what will happen. Even if I can't, any competitive rounds that I'm in (quarter-finals or semi-finals), I'd deliver my very best to justify the support given to me.

Spread Labi XiaoXin's happiness! Spread the Carebear warmth! Thank you all so much for your unwavering support. Follow your Passion!
